Breaking Into The Polls
Coastal was one of 13 teams receiving votes in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll. Five of the nine undefeated teams were represented in the top-25, including Baylor (No. 5), Pittsburgh (No. 6), Hawaii (No. 13), Missouri (No. 17) and California (No. 8).

Coastal was the only remaining undefeated team that received votes.

Three Down, One to Go
Coastal has won all three of its tournaments heading into the final weekend of non-conference play, and will look to complete the sweep at the Cy-Hawk Series. It is the first time in program history that the Chants have won three non-conference tournaments.

Following Coastal, Iowa State holds the second-best record entering this weekend's tournament at 6-3. The Cyclones have won four-straight, including a sweep of the Appalachian Invitational last weekend.

Iowa is 5-3 despite a tough non-conference slate. The Hawkeyes picked up a 3-0 win over then-No. 22 Washington State at the James Madison Tournament during the opening weekend of action. Iowa also faced then-No. 16 Washington on Sept. 7, falling in four sets. Most recently, Iowa took two of three matches at the South Dakota Tournament, defeating Wyoming and UC Davis by identical 3-1 scores.

Lipscomb is 3-5 following a split against Xavier (W, 3-1) and No. 23 Purdue (L, 1-3) during last weekend's Lipscomb Invite. The Bison had previously won three-straight matches prior to their loss to the nationally ranked Boilermakers.
