CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's basketball team will look to get back into the win column as the Chanticleers will host a pair of games to end the non-conference portion of the 2020-21 schedule.
 
The Chants will host Delaware State (0-1) Thursday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. ET, and follow that up with a game against Alice Lloyd (Ky.) Friday, Dec. 19, also at 6 p.m. ET.
 
The two games will bring to an end the non-conference portion of the 2020-21 schedule as CCU will jump into Sun Belt Conference action beginning Jan. 1, 2021 against Georgia State.
 
Due to the scheduling issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hornets of Delaware State have only managed to play one game this season and that was back on Nov. 25, a 111-51 loss at Wake Forest.

This will be the second time these two teams have met after the Chants won at DSU last season 92-77. It was a game which saw CCU hit an astonishing 14-of-27 three-point field goals on its' way to the 15-point win.
 
The Chants will then meet Alice Lloyd College (5-1) in Friday's 2020 finale. It will be the first meeting between the two programs.
 
CCU is coming off the first loss of the season, an 88-77 setback on the road at Wofford. It was a game which was much closer than the final score indicated, as the Chants only trailed 81-76 with a minute left in the game. The Terriers won the game by knocking down 15 three-point field goals while CCU only hit eight.
 
After back-to-back 25-point outings, junior DeVante' Jones enters the game needing only 10 points to become the 23rd player in CCU men's basketball history to score 1,000 career points. The New Orleans native has averaged over 16.2 points per game over his career with tomorrow's game being his 61st game as a Chant.
