CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to compete against in-state rival Winthrop on Saturday, Feb. 15 with the first serve scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 2-1 record, while the Eagles are 0-6 on the season. The two teams have met a total of 15 times with Winthrop owning an 8-7 advantage in the overall series. Coastal picked up a 4-3 win in the last meeting on Feb. 17, 2019, at the Stevens Tennis Complex and has won four of the last five meetings.
CCU last competed on Sunday, Feb. 9, getting a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Presbyterian. After dropping the doubles point, the Chants picked up four wins in single action to get the 200th career win for head coach
Chris Powers.
Winthrop fell 5-2 to UNCG on Feb. 9. The Eagles picked up wins on the No. 2 and No. 5 courts in singles action for their only points.
