CONWAY – S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will travel to North Carolina for a pair of road matches on Saturday and Sunday. The Chants will take on No. 29 Duke in Durham, N.C., on Feb. 29 prior to traveling to Greenville, N.C. on March 1 to visit the East Carolina Pirates. The first serve is scheduled for Noon ET for both matches.
Coastal trails the Blue Devils 7-0 in the all-time series with all matches having been played in Durham. Duke picked up a 5-2 win in the last meeting on Feb. 23, 2019. The Chants own a slim 6-5 advantage in the overall series against ECU as the Pirates won 4-3 in Conway, S.C. on April 11, 2018.
CCU has opened its spring slate with a 4-1 record, picking up four-straight wins after dropping the season opener at No. 7 Wake Forest. Last time out, the Chanticleers earned a narrow 4-3 win over South Carolina State on Feb. 22.
The nationally-ranked Duke Blue Devils are 9-1 on the season and will compete against ACC foe Virginia Tech on Feb. 28. Duke earned a 7-0 win over neighboring NC Central in its last outing.
After picking up a 4-2 victory over Sun Belt opponent Georgia Southern last weekend, East Carolina enters the weekend with a 9-2 overall record and a two-match winning streak.
