CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team will travel to Panama City, Fla., to participate in the Seventh Annual Florida State Seminole Match Up scheduled for Feb. 29-March 1 at the Bay Point Golf Club.
The 10-team tournament will have a unique format in which the 10 teams will be divided into five pairs that will not only compete for the match-up title, but against each other for the team and individual championships on the par-72, 6,290 course layout. The two-day event will feature 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 holes set for Sunday.
Joining host Florida State and CCU in the field are Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Kansas State, Toledo, Missouri, Memphis, and South Florida.
Coastal Carolina will open play facing SEC-member Missouri. The other competitions will see Florida State play Alabama, Clemson face LSU, Kansas State will take on Toledo and Memphis will meet South Florida.
The Chants will look to improve on their eighth-place finish last week at the Moon Golf Invitational. CCU entered the third and final round only one shot out of first-place, but had a disappointing final round that saw them drop to eighth-place.
CCU will have Frantiska Lunackova, Tiffany Arafi, Stephanie Henning, Jenjira Jinangkul, and Caitlin Evans-Brand make the trip to Florida for the event.
