CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will head to the Lone Star state for a two-game slate against Texas State and UT Arlington. The Chanticleers will go head-to-head with the Bobcats on Feb. 6 in San Marcos, Texas before heading to Arlington, Texas to battle the Mavericks on Feb. 8. The tip-off for both contests are scheduled for 8 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET, respectively.
Coastal evened up the all-time series with Texas State at 4-4 in the last meeting, a 75-67 home victory for the Chants on Jan. 9. CCU followed that up by picking up just its second victory over UTA in the seven meetings, a 62-56 win at the HTC Center on Jan. 11.
ABOUT COASTAL
The Chanticleers enter the week with a 17-3 overall record and a 7-2 mark in Sun Belt action to go along with their No. 24 ranking in the College Insider Mid-Major top 25.
Coastal has the second-best scoring team in the conference averaging 75.6 points per contest while having the top ranked Sun Belt defense allowing just 57.1 points per game.
As a team, the Chants are shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from three-point range. Defensively, CCU is holding teams to 34.6 percent from the floor and 24.8 percent from behind the arc.

Naheria Hamilton leads the Chants in rebounding grabbing almost 10 per game.
LAST TIME OUT COASTAL
Coastal won its second-straight contest of the week with a 42-point 87-45 home victory over the Georgia State Panthers on Feb. 1. The 87 points are the most for the Chanticleers in Sun Belt play this season.
Williams and Hamilton led the CCU offense getting 22 and 17 points, respectively. Hamilton, the league's leading rebounder, grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds for her third consecutive double-double of the season and the 25th of her career. Williams reached the 20-point plateau for the 25th time in her career.
Coastal owned the inside, scoring 44 points in the paint and holding a commanding 55-27 advantage in rebounding.
SCOUTING TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats own an 8-12 overall record while sitting at 1-8 in conference action after picking up a 72-55 victory over UT Arlington last Saturday.
Texas State's offense is averaging 62.8 points per game while the Bobcats defense is allowing just over 63 points per contest.
The Texas State offense is shooting 38.3 percent from the field while hitting 30.3 percent of its three-point attempts.
Da'Nasia Hood leads the Bobcats' offensive output with 13.3 points per game while Brooke Holle chips in with 10.7.
SCOUTING UT ARLINGTON
UTA enters the week tied for fourth with an overall record of 13-7 and a 6-3 league mark after falling to Texas State in its last outing on Feb. 1.
The Mavericks are averaging 65.1 points per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 28.2 from behind the arc. Defensively, UT Arlington is allowing 60.8 points per contest.
Marie Benson leads the UTA offense averaging 17.3 points per game with Claire Chastain adding 10.3 points per contest as the only two Mavericks in double-digit scoring.
LAST TIME OUT TEXAS STATE & UT ARLINGTON
Texas State earned its first Sun Belt Conference win of the season with a convincing 72-55 home victory over then second-place UT Arlington.
Hood led the Bobcats with a career-high 28 points and seven rebounds while going 7-of-7 from behind the three-point line.
Texas State overcame a 44-41 deficit to outscore UTA 31-11 to earn the 17-point victory.
