Coastal Carolina Lacrosse Wraps Up Road Trip at No. 16 Denver

Coastal Carolina women’s lacrosse team looks to rebound from loss to Colorado

Denver, Colo. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team will end its season-opening five-game road trip against the nationally-ranked No. 16 Denver Pioneers on Wednesday, March 11. It is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
 
ABOUT COASTAL
 
The Chanticleers enter with a 2-2 record on the year with all matches coming on the road. In its last outing, CCU fell 19-8 to then nationally-ranked Colorado.
 
Seniors Samantha Courtemanche and Lyla Robinson lead the team with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Courtemanche has found the back of the net eight times while assisting on eight more goals while Robinson has chipped in with six goals and six assists.
 
Defensively, classmates Megan Kilpatrick and Emily D'Orsaneo each have caused five turnovers in the four contests. D'Orsaneo has scooped up 10 ground balls while Kilpatrick has added six loose balls.
 
SCOUTING DENVER
 
The Pioneers enter the contest with a 6-1 overall record after coming off an 21-11 win over Fairfield on Sunday, March 8.
 
Denver's offense is led by Quintin Hoch-Bullen with 28 goals and eight assists for 36 points with Bea Behrins adding 20 goals and 10 assists for 30 points. The Pioneers also get scoring help from Eliza Radochonski with 18 goals, Caroline Wiseman with 14 goals, and Ellie Curry with 11 goals.
 
On defense, Denver is allowing 9.0 goals per contest with Eliza Hacke and Sam Thacker and Kailee Lammers causing 12, 10, and 10 turnovers, respectively.
