CONWAY, S.C. – The Atlantic Sun announced its first women's lacrosse weekly awards of the 2026 season on Monday, and Coastal Carolina's
Alexandra Horn and
Grace Lord were selected Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. The duo helped lead CCU to a pair of home wins over Longwood and Presbyterian.
It is the first career weekly honor for both student-athletes.
She recorded eight goals and recorded five assists for 13 points in two wins for Coastal Carolina, scoring four goals in each game. Horn also netted the game-winner against Longwood. She had just six goals and one assist in 15 games as a freshman last season.
Lord, a preseason all-conference selection, led Coastal Carolina's defensive effort in its two wins against Longwood and Presbyterian. She picked up four ground balls and caused three turnovers on the weekend.
The Chanticleers return to action Saturday, Feb. 14, at East Carolina. The first face-off is scheduled for noon.
