Women's Golf Opens Spring Season at Hilton Head

CONWAY – Coastal Carolina University women's golf coach Katie Quinney and the Chanticleers will open the 2021 spring golf season in Hilton Head, S.C., at the Old South Golf Links for the Battle at Old South championship Friday-Sunday, Jan. 29-31.
The Old South Golf Links will host the three-day event on a par-72, 6,354-yard course that was designed by Clyde Johnston and was opened for play in 1992.
The event is a dual-hosted event by Cincinnati and Florida International. CCU will join the dual hosting programs along with Western Carolina, Jacksonville, Charleston Southern, and USC Beaufort.
CCU players making the trip for the spring's opening event are Frantiska Lunackova, Caitlin Evans-Brand, Sophia Carlsen, Heidrun Hlynsdottir, Nicole Abelar, and Maika Llarena.
The event will open with an 18-hole seeding round during Friday's opening day of action. On Saturday after the teams have been seeded, the teams will play 36 holes (two rounds) and finish the event on Sunday with an 18-hole championship round.
