CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's basketball team will be back on the court on Sunday, December 12, when the Chanticleers host Wofford College at 2 p.m. ET at the HTC Center.
CCU enters the action with a 4-3 overall record while the Terriers are 7-3.
The game represents the fourth game of a six-game homestand with CCU in the midst of playing nine of 10 games at home. During the present homestand, CCU has picked up wins over South Carolina and Winthrop, while dropping a close game to Mercer.
COASTAL vs. WOFFORD HISTORY
Even though the two teams are only four hours apart, Sunday's contest will be the sixth meeting between the two programs. Wofford holds a 4-1 lead in the all-time series which dates back to 2015, which was CCU's lone win in the series at 71-63 in Spartanburg, S.C.
Since then, the Terriers won consecutive close games, including two in Conway in 2016 and 2017 (75-74, 87-81), and two in Spartanburg in 2018 and 2019 (82-71, 88-77).

Transfer
Rudi Williams is the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week and has been deadly shooting the ball from the floor. Averaging 15.6 points per game, Williams is one of the top shooters in the Sun Belt knocking down 53.3 percent of his field goal attempts, which includes shooting 52.2 percent on his three-point field goals.
Sophomore
Essam Mostafa has had consecutive sub-par games for the Chants but still leads the team in scoring (15.9) and rebounding (9.7).
Vince Cole has been a solid scorer for the Chanticleers this season and is coming off a CCU career-high 17 points in the Chants' loss to Mercer. He had an excellent shooting night, hitting six of his seven field goal attempts and was three-of-four on his threes. He also hit both of his free throw attempts. On the season, he is averaging 12.0 points per game.
Junior
Ebrima Dibba may be coming off his best game of the season. He scored 15 points and completed his first double-double of the year with a game-high 10 assists. He has pushed his scoring average up to 9.3 points per game and leads the Sun Belt in assists averaging 5.9 per game.
ABOUT WOFFORD
Wofford enters the game on a two-game winning streak, with their last outing a strong 78-70 road at Gardner-Webb. The Terriers have some impressive wins among the seven victories including a road win at Georgia 68-65. They also defeated Sun Belt member Georgia Southern 70-52. Like CCU, they have played South Carolina but faced the Gamecocks in Columbia, where they fell 85-74.
The Terriers have the top-scoring team the Chants have faced this season, as Wofford is averaging 80.2 points per game. Their defense is just as solid, allowing only 66.1 points per game.
Wofford's offense is shooting 48 percent from the field, and, as usual, will bring a solid three-point shooting team into the HTC Center. The Terriers have already attempted 260 three-pointers in their first 10 games and have hit 88 of them for a 34 percent shooting average. Wofford is also solid from the free throw line this season, as they are knocking down just over 76 percent from the charity stripe.
BJ Mack is the driving force behind the Terriers' scoring machine. The junior is shooting 53 percent from the field in averaging 15.5 points per game. He is also deadly at the free throw line shooting 83 percent.
Max Klesmit is averaging 15.0 points per game, while Ryan Carson is averaging 11.2 points per game as Wofford has three double-digit scorers.
