CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will host Wesleyan College on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. The opening tip is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
CCU is off to a 7-0 start for just the second time in program history, matching the start to the 2007-08 season. A win over the Wolves would mark the best start in program history at 8-0. Wesleyan enters the matchup 0-8 on the year.
COASTAL vs. WESLEYAN HISTORY
Coastal and Wesleyan have met once with the Chanticleers earning a 132-32 home victory in December of 2019.

Offensively, the Chants are averaging 73.0 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and 28.5 percent from behind the three-point line. Defensively, Coastal is allowing 42.3 points per game while holding its opponents to 27.3 percent from the field and 21.8 percent from behind the arc.

Blayre Shultz are adding 9.9 and 9.1 points per game, respectively. Aside from being the third-best scorer, Shultz leads the team with 26 assists while freshman point guard
Arin Freeman has dished 22 assists to her teammates.
Blount leads the team with 11 steals on the defensive end while also grabbing 76 rebounds on the defensive end of the floor. Twin sisters, Janeen and
Janae Camp have combined for 78 rebounds on opponent missed shots while
Janeen Camp has blocked 18 shots in the middle.

As a team, the Wolves are averaging 47.4 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 85.3 points per game. On the year, Wesleyan has a 32.8 field goal shooting percentage while hitting 21.7 percent from long range. The Wolves are grabbing 41.3 rebounds per game while handing out 7.1 assists per game.
The Wolves are led by Jamila Ra-Hashim and Kelsey Houpt with 12.8 and 10.9 points per game, respectively.
