CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team will open their spring schedule on the road as they will travel to Wilmington, N.C. to take on the UNCW Seahawks on Sunday, Feb. 28. The match is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.
The Chanticleers wrapped up their fall season with a 6-5 overall season, including going 6-4 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Coastal's game plan heading into the spring season is to get many of the younger players plenty of action throughout the Chant's four contests. Look for players such as
Carleigh Frilles,
Alicia Hansson,
Ellie Wolski, and
Ashley Bosmans to get the bulk of the action after playing behind seniors in the fall season.
After having their fall season postponed due to COVID-19, the Seahawks are back in action this spring. They are 1-1 thus far this spring after losing to NC State on the road 2-1 in overtime then rebounding for a 3-1 road win against the Charlotte 49ers
