Women's Tennis Heads to Alabama this Weekend

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will head to Alabama for a pair of matches versus Sun Belt Conference members South Alabama on Saturday, March. 13, and Troy, Sunday, March.14.
The Chanticleers enter the weekend with a 6-2 overall record and riding a six-match winning streak. The Chants are coming off back-to-back 4-0 victories against conference foes Georgia Southern and Georgia State last weekend.
Senior Somer Dalla-Bona and freshman Jesse Hollins both lead the Chants with six wins a piece heading into action this weekend, while sophomore Valentina Urelli is on a five-match winning streak of her own.
South Alabama enters the meeting with a 6-4 (1-0 SBC) record on the year after suffering a setback last time out against North Florida on March 7. The Chants and Jaguars haven't met since 2019 which the Jaguars won 4-1 on March 24, 2019.
Troy enters the weekend with a 4-5 (1-0 SBC) record on the year picking up a win against Jacksonville State on March 8.The teams last met in 2019 at the Stevens Tennis Complex which the Chants won 4-2 on March 22, 2019. This will also be the first time the Chants have visited Troy, Ala.
