The Hayt this year is CLOSED to the public.
The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Monday on the Sawgrass Country Club golf course that will play par-72, 6,966-yards.
The field this season includes several Golfstat top-50 nationally-ranked teams in No. 1 Florida State, No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 14 Clemson, No. 15 Liberty, No. 23 South Florida, No. 26 North Florida, No. 35 Charlotte, No. 36 Louisville, and No. 41 UAB, as well as Coastal Carolina, Augusta, Jacksonville, UCF, and USC Upstate.
Coastal head coach Jim Garren will send out the lineup of Zack Taylor, States Fort, Seth Taylor, Tyler Gray, and Gavin Noble, while Connor Newton will play as an individual.
Zack Taylor is coming off scoring an individual tournament win at the ECU Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 209, 7-under par, last week which was his third top-five individual finish this season. He has recorded 13 rounds of par or better thus far this year and enters The Hayt on a streak with nine-straight rounds of par or better.
After opting out of the fall season, Fort has played some of his best golf this spring, having recorded three top-25 place finishes over his four events, including his first collegiate win at the Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate in January. Fort placed 15th overall at the ECU Intercollegiate last time out with a 54-hole score of 219, +3, and has carded seven rounds of par or better this spring.
Sophomore Seth Taylor continues to be consistent for the Chants again this season, as he is in the lineup for the seventh time this year and 14th time overall. The Gaffney, S.C. native shot a 225, +9, at the ECU Intercollegiate last week and will look to continue to get back to where he was to start the spring season, shooting a 210, 6-under par, at the Any Given Intercollegiate.
Gray returned to form last week with his eighth-place finish and a 54-hole score of 218, +2, at the ECU Intercollegiate, which marked his fourth top-15 finish this season and highest this spring. The junior carded rounds of 71, 74, and 73 over his last three rounds of play to make his way back into the lineup again this week.
Breaking into the lineup for the first time this spring is Noble. Noble, who shot a 54-hole score of 227, +11, playing as an individual at the V1 Sports General Hackler Championship two weeks ago, played in all three fall events for the Chanticleers.
Newton, who did not play last week at the ECU event, has played in six tournaments thus far this season. He has posted a season stroke average of 74.41 overall which includes five rounds of par or better and a low-round 68 at the AGT Intercollegiate in January.
