Women’s Tennis to Host Georgia Southern and Georgia State This Weekend

Chanticleers have won seven-straight home matches
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina Women's tennis team will host a pair of home matches at the Stevens Tennis Complex versus Sun Belt Conference members Georgia Southern on Saturday March. 6, and Georgia State Sunday, March.7. Both matches will begin at 11 a.m. ET.
Fans will be allowed.

The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 4-2 overall record and on a four-match winning streak against the Eagles. The Chants are coming off back-to-back 6-1 victories against regional opponents Charleston Southern and College of Charleston last week and blanked Presbyterian College 7-0 on Tuesday.
Senior Somer Dalla-Bona leads the Chants with a 5-1 singles record and is on a five-matching winning streak heading into action this weekend, while freshman Jesse Hollins is on a four-match winning streak of her own.
Georgia Southern enters the meeting with a 4-4 record on the year after blanking ABAC twice in their last dual action 7-0 on Feb. 21. The Eagles have had their last four matches postponed or canceled. The Chants and Eagles haven't met since 2019 which the Chants won 4-2 on April 7, 2019.
Georgia State enters the weekend with a 2-6 record on the year picking up wins against Charleston Southern on Feb.15 and College of Charleston on Feb. 26.The teams haven't met since 2019 and that was in the Sun Belt Conference tournament quarterfinal round which the Panthers won 4-1 on their way to the Sun Belt Championship title.
