CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered a setback on Tuesday afternoon, falling 4-3 to Wofford at the Lynn Stevens Tennis Complex

Coastal drops to 7-8 with the loss while the Terriers improved to 7-9 with the win.

Coastal captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 while No.1 went unfinished. Coastal's Guilherme Toresan and Daiki Tanabe defeated Alex Horn and Omar Williams of the Terriers 6-3 at the No. 3 spot. Gonzalo Achondo and Juan Castellanos defeated Will Fullett and Ashe Ray 7-6 in the number two position for the men in teal.

Tanabe pushed the Coastal lead to 2-0 with a straight-set win at No. 5 by a score of 6-3, 6-0 over the Terriers' Javi Casasolas.

Wofford would finally get on the scoreboard with a straight-set win at No. 4 by Diego Losada who defeated Toresan by a similar score of 7-5, 7-5.

Pyry Hyrkkonen would earn a straight-set 7-6, 6-4 win over Callum Rendle at No. 2 to give the home team a 3-1 advantage.

Wofford continued the back-and-forth with Coastal as the Terriers evened the match at 3-3 with wins at No. 3 and No. 6 before the Terriers' Williams delivered the match-clincher for Wofford at No. 1 by defeating CCU's Diego Giraldo 6-2, 6-7, 6-0.

Coastal will now hit the road for a pair of matches against The Citadel on April 16 and a Sun Belt match against Georgia Southern on April 17.
