CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will hit the road this weekend for not one but two matches. CCU will close out the regular-season slate with a non-conference match against The Citadel on Friday, April 16, at 1 p.m. ET.
CCU's match with Georgia Southern on Saturday, April 17, as been canceled due to forecasted inclement weather in Statesboro, Ga. over the weekend.
Coastal enters the weekend with a 7-8 overall record and a 1-2 record in Sun Belt play. The Chants have dropped three-straight matches and four of their last four contests since posting back-to-back wins over Campbell and UNC Greensboro on April 1-2.
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 5-18 overall record and fell to UNC Greensboro 5-2 in SoCon play on April 10.
The Chants and Bulldogs have met 15 times on the hard court as the Chants have a commanding 11-4 lead in the series and enter on a seven-match winning streak against the Bulldogs.
The road match will be the final tune-up for the Chanticleers before competing in the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament on April 23-25 in Peachtree City, Ga.
