CCU Women's Tennis Ready for Sun Belt Tournament

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will open up the 2021 Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship Tournament versus Louisiana (No. 2 West) in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 16 with a first serve scheduled for 10 a.m. ET from Peachtree City, Ga.
The Chanticleers enter the matchup with a 13-6 overall record and 7-3 Sun Belt record. The Chants enter the conference championship tournament having won three of their last four matches, including conference wins over Troy (April 4) and Appalachian State (April 7).
The Chants are led by freshmen Jesse Hollins who has a 12-4 overall record in singles action, while sophomore Victoire De Samucewicz enters the tournament on a three-match winning streak of her own.
Louisiana enters the meeting with a 9-5 record on the year and a conference record of 5-2.
Coastal and Louisiana have met only two times in women's tennis action. The Chants hold a 2-0 advantage against the Cajuns. The teams last met on March 31, 2019, in Lafayette, La. which the Chants came out on top by a score of 4-2.
The Chants are 0-3 all-time in the Sun Belt Championship Tournament.
