Taylor Concludes Collegiate Career at NCAA Regional

Taylor played as an individual in two NCAA Regionals
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Coastal Carolina's Zack Taylor wrapped up his collegiate career at the 2021 NCAA Noblesville Regional on Wednesday, shooting a final round 81, +9, to finish with a 54-hole score of 238, +22, over the three rounds of play at the Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
The fifth-year senior carded two birdies, eight pars, five bogeys, and three double bogeys over the final round of play to place in a tie for 70th overall with rounds of 78, 79, and 81.
Taylor ends his career at CCU with the lowest career scoring average in program history at 71.66, putting him atop of the Coastal men's golf record books and in front of previous record holder and current PGA golfer Dustin Johnson (72.26).
The Pittsburgh, Pa. native was a two-time GCAA/Ping Division 1 All-Region selection (2018-19 and 2019-20), a two-time All-Sun Belt first team pick (2019 and 2021), the 2019 Sun Belt Men's Golf Newcomer of the Year, and a two-time Sun Belt Men's Golfer of the Week.
He is also one of just eight Chanticleers in program history to win individual medalist honors more than once with his two wins at the 2020 General Hackler Championship and the 2021 ECU Intercollegiate, while his 50 career rounds of par or better as a Chant ranks fourth all-time in CCU's career record books. His 320 career birdies as a Chant ranks ninth all-time in CCU program history, while his 13 eagles are tied for the third-most in the Coastal annals.
