CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team looks to tally its third win of the season, as they finish their nonconference slate on the road at Richmond, Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET from President's Field at River Road.

The Chanticleers are coming off a 5-0 loss to Wake Forest on Thursday. The Deacs tallied their first goal off a corner kick that was able to find the back of the net before scoring again just over a minute later. Wake Forest would go up 3-0 in the 31st minute before Coastal tallied their second shot of the night in the 35th minute as
Megan Brouse's shot on goal was saved by the Deacs.
Carleigh Frilles' shot just two minutes after halftime looked to give the Chanticleers the momentum as
Loranna Austin's shot in the 49th minute just missed the net. Wake Forest would add two more goals in the second half just four minutes apart in the 68th and 72nd minutes, respectively.
SCOUTING THE SPIDERS
- Richmond finished the 2020-2021 spring season 1-6-1, playing only A10 conference games. The lone win of the season came on the road against George Washington on March 28, a 2-0 victory.
- The Spiders were picked 12th in the A10 Women's Preseason Poll, earning 51 points back in August.
- T.J. Anderson and Molly Morgan return for Richmond this season, the two have nearly 90 career starts under their belts. Anderson has notched seven goals and provided four helpers during her career, while Morgan has added four goals and two assists as a Spider.
