Women’s Tennis to Wrap Up Fall Season at Stetson Invitational

Chanticleers will compete in Florida this weekend
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will wrap up its 2022 fall season this weekend at the Stetson Invitational, hosted by Stetson University at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center in DeLand, Fla., from Nov. 4-6.
The three-day fall event will feature the Chanticleers, Stetson, Jacksonville State, Florida State, Troy, and Saint Leo.
The Chanticleers are returning to competition for the first time since playing at the highly-touted ITA Carolina Regional Championships on Oct. 14-16.
There, super senior Megan Hopton and junior Jesse Hollins were crowned co-champions in the B1 Singles Main Draw, as both went 4-0 in singles play in the draw to reach the finals.
Junior transfer Kata Foldeak earned a win in the finals of the B2 Singles Consolation Bracket, as she bounced back from a first-round loss to cruise through the consolation bracket with three wins and a bye to pick up a 7-5, 6-1 in the finals.
In the A1 Singles Draw, senior Victoire De Samucewicz went 2-2, advancing to the semifinals of the consolation bracket, while in the A2 Singles Draw fellow Chant Anna Babayan went 3-2 overall and like De Samucewicz, she also advanced to the semifinals of the consolation bracket.
The Chants will play on all three days in the round-robin format.
