Women's Golf Opens Spring at Sea Best Intercollegiate

Chants look to build on an outstanding fall season
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will open spring play at the Sea Best Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 14-15, hosted by Jacksonville University at the San Jose Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
The San Jose Golf and Country Club is a par-72, 6,418-yard layout and will feature a 54-hole format with 36 holes played on Monday followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Joining CCU and host Jacksonville in the 18-team field are Butler, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, Dixie State, East Carolina, FIU, Georgetown, Houston Baptist, Lipscomb, Navy, Seminole State, Tennessee Tech, Towson, UNC Greensboro, and USC Upstate.
The Chanticleers will be looking to build on an outstanding fall that saw them finish among the top-four teams in each of the fall's four events, which includes a championship performance at the Buccaneer Classic.
Head coach Katie Quinney has set her lineup for the opening event led by Tiffany Arafi, who enters the spring schedule as the No. 9-ranked golfer in NCAA Division I women's golf by Golfstat. Her ranking is the highest ever attained by a member of the CCU women's golf team.
Rounding out the lineup will be Sara Sarrion, Jenjira Jinangkul, 2021 Sun Belt Individual Champion Sophia Carlsen, and Caitlin Evans-Brand.
