CONWAY, S.C. – On the heels of a one-point win on Friday evening, the Coastal Carolina men's tennis team had to quickly turn their attention towards a Power 5 opponent in the No. 32 Duke Blue Devils on Saturday morning.  In the end, the Chants were dealt a 6-1 loss.
 
The Blue Devils took the early lead with a pair of wins in doubles action. 
 
In singles play, the Chanticleers continued to fight.
 
Steve Mundt, in only his second singles match of the season, fared very well in the sixth flight against Jake Krug.  The two need all three frames to determine a winner, where Mundt emerged with a 6-0, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-7) triumph.
 
CCU also faced a pair of ranked singles players in the top and third flights.  Federico Garnier faced No. 118 Garrett Johns but fell 6-3, 6-2.  Diego Giraldo took on No. 89 Faris Khan, but the latter claimed a victory by an identical 6-3, 6-2 margin.
 
Next up for the Chants (5-5) is a road match against Louisiana on Saturday, March 5 at noon ET.
