Chanticleers Prepare for Weekend Slate

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will gear up for a pair of regional matches this weekend against the Clemson Tigers and North Carolina Central Eagles.
On Friday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. ET, the Chants will travel to face the Tigers. Coastal Carolina will then play host to the Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 5. That matchup is slated for 1:30 p.m. ET at the Lynn Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chants opened the season with a 6-1 loss against Wofford on Sunday, Jan. 30.
The Clemson Tigers are 4-0 on the young spring season with wins over Presbyterian College (6-1), two over Western Carolina (6-1, 5-1), and one over Georgia Southern (7-0).
Saturday's home contest with NCCU will be the season opener for the visiting Eagles.
Coastal Carolina has won all three previous meetings against NC Central. The two clubs last clashed on April 6, 2021, where the Chants claimed a 5-1 victory.
