WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team clashed with the UNC Wilmington Seahawks in a non-conference affair on Tuesday afternoon, where the Chants dropped a 4-3 decision to the Seahawks.

UNCW claimed the doubles point with wins on the first and second courts.  Steve Mundt and Carlos Berna Ruiz picked up the lone victory for the Chants by defeating Dillon Gooch and Richard Mallory 6-2 in the third flight.

During singles action, the two sides tallied three wins apiece.  In the top flight, Bastien Huon responded well after a tough first set and took down Bekhzod Rasamatov 0-6, 6-1, 6-3.  Niccolo Rossi held off a late charge, edging Gabriel Hurtado 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 on the fifth court.  Federico Garnier held on to win the decisive third set over Harold Huens 7-6 (7-0), 2-6, 1-0 (10-5).

The next match for the Chanticleers (3-2) will be at home on Friday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. ET, when they face UNC Greensboro at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
