Sandy Chants Earn No. 5 Seed for 2022 Conference USA Championship

Coastal Carolina beach volleyball will take on UAB in the first round
DALLAS – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team earned the No. 5 seed in next week's 2022 Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship, the league announced this weekend.
The Chanticleers finished the regular season at 18-14 overall.
CCU will play No. 4 UAB in the first round on Thursday at 9 a.m. CT.
Florida Atlantic, ranked No. 10 in the latest AVCA Poll, earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye, while No. 14 FIU and No. 15 Georgia State picked up the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively.
The 2022 Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship is set to begin Thursday, April 28, with seven teams squaring off in a double-elimination bracket. The three-day event, hosted by Conference USA, CCSA, and Rally Sports, will open up with five matches on Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. CT at the John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Ala.
This is the league's inaugural season of beach volleyball with FIU, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss, UAB, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, and ULM.
The conference championship match is slated for noon CT on Saturday, April 30.
