ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina is 25-15-1 overall on the season and 14-6-1 at home at Springs Brooks Stadium.
• The Chanticleers enter the week having won eight of their last 10 games and six of their last seven contests, including a three-game series sweep at home over UT Arlington on April 22-24.
• The Chants have aided their chances of possibly getting an at-large bid into the 2022 NCAA Championship Tournament by taking two of three games over the nationally-ranked Georgia Southern Eagles last weekend.
• Three Chants in Tyler Johnson (.364), Eric Brown (.321), and Nick Lucky (.293) are all hitting over .290 on the season, while seven different Chants have driven in 20 or more RBIs on the year, led by Lucky's team-leading 32 runs batted in.
• The pitching is in the middle of the pack in the Sun Belt this year, as the Chants' arms have posted a 4.59 ERA.
• However, over the last 10 games, the Chants' pitching staff has gone 8-2 overall with four saves and a 3.48 ERA.

ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS
• UNCW heads into action this week at 24-18 overall and 4-9 on the road.
• The Seahawks are 5-5 over their last 10 games and are coming off a series loss at home to Elon in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play last weekend.
• Like CCU, UNCW's offense has three players hitting over .290 on the season in Brooks Baldwin (.338), Taber Mongero (.317), and Trevor Marsh (.294), while as a team the Seahawks are hitting .268 with 53 home runs, nine triples, and 83 doubles.
• The Seahawks' pitching staff has posted a 4.46 ERA with 351 strikeouts over 371.1 innings pitched. UNCW's arms are holding their opponents to a .241 batting average and have allowed just 24 home runs all season.

ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH THE SEAHAWKS
• Coastal Carolina and UNCW will be meeting for the 104th time on Tuesday and the second time this season as the Seahawks defeated the Chants 9-4 back on March 2 in Wilmington, N.C.
• Tuesday night's game is a makeup game from April 5, when the game was washed out due to rain and thunderstorms.
• The Chanticleers are on a three-game skid versus the Seahawks but are 37-15 all-time against UNCW in Conway, S.C.

• The three midweek losses have come on the road at UNCW (March 2), Wake Forest (March 30), and Charlotte (April 19).
• CCU has had two midweek games washed out - at NC State (March 16) and versus UNCW (April 5) - while a third contest was suspended in the seventh inning and will be completed at a later date this year (College of Charleston - April 6).

VERSUS THE TAR HEEL STATE
• This season, the Chanticleers have struggled against teams from the Tar Heel State.
• Coastal is just 4-5 versus teams that call the state of North Carolina home with three wins over Appalachian State (April 14-16) in Sun Belt Conference play and a home win over Wake Forest (March 8).
• The four losses have all come in the state of North Carolina, with a midweek road loss at UNCW (March 2), three losses at nationally-ranked North Carolina (March 4-6), and another midweek defeat at Wake forest (March 30).

HOME. SWEET. HOME.
• Coastal enjoyed #ThePalace for the first eight games of the season and the month of February.
• After playing four games on the road in the first week of March - at UNCW (March 2) and North Carolina (March 4-6) - the Chanticleers returned home for what turned out to be a seven-game homestand versus Wake Forest (March 8), Xavier (March 11-13), and ULM (March 18-20).
• Coastal suffered a three-game series sweep at home to Georgia State (April 8-10) but most recently bounced back to record a sweep of its own with three consecutive wins over UTA (April 22-24) last weekend.
• The Chanticleers are 14-6-1 at home this season.

SUN BELT CONFERENCE PLAY
• The Chanticleers immediately turned heads in the Sun Belt Conference in their first season in the league in 2017, going 22-7-1 in conference play to win both the Sun Belt Conference East Division and Sun Belt Conference Regular-Season championships.
• Coastal went on to repeat in 2018 and added the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship title, posting a 23-7 regular-season conference record along the way.
• Despite slipping to 15-13 in conference play and finishing fifth in the regular-season standings in 2019, the Chanticleers ran through the Sun Belt Conference Tournament to repeat as tournament champions.
• After 2020 was canceled, the Chants had their worst conference season in over 25 years in 2021, finishing the conference regular-season slate at 9-12 overall.
• This year, CCU is 13-7-1 in Sun Belt Conference play which includes three Sun Belt Conference series sweeps over Arkansas State, Appalachian State, and UTA, and a road series win at nationally-ranked Georgia Southern.

BIG CONFERENCE SERIES LOOMING
• With the Sun Belt Conference regular-season schedule winding down, the Chanticleers will have a pivotal home Sun Belt Conference weekend series this weekend versus Little Rock (May 6-8).
• Coastal will enter the weekend in fourth place in the regular-season conference standings at 13-7-1 and 3.5 games out of first place.
• However, the Chants are just 0.5 games ahead of fifth-place Troy at 13-8 and 2.5 games in front of both South Alabama and Georgia State (10-11) with nine conference games to play.
• With a series win over Little Rock this weekend, the Chanticleers could at best climb as high as second place in the regular-season standings, but with a series loss could fall to as low as sixth overall.
