CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina University women's basketball head coach
Kevin Pederson is excited to announce the addition of
B'Aunce Carter from St. Bonaventure University to the roster for the 2022-23 season.
Carter spent the 2021-22 as a member of the Bonnies' women's basketball program, where she appeared in five games coming off the bench. The junior snagged six rebounds on the year while scoring three points in 19 minutes of action.
Prior to joining St. Bonaventure, the Belleville, Ill., native played two seasons at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri. The 5' 11" forward averaged 9.2 points per game while shooting 60.5 percent from the floor. Carter also grabbed 5.3 rebounds per game. As a freshman, she was fifth in the country in field goal percentage by shooting 61.9 percent from the field.
During her sophomore campaign, Carter helped the Greyhounds reach the NJCCA National Tournament while shooting 58.8 percent from the floor and averaging 10.1 points per game. She appeared in 24 games garnering starts in 17 during the 2020-21 season.
"B'Aunce is a great addition to our Chanticleer women's basketball family! We needed another post and she is an athletic player that will fit well with our style of play," said Pederson. "She was a very efficient player at Moberly Community College where she shot over 60 percent from the field during her two years. B'Aunce is a wonderful person and we are excited to welcome her to Coastal Carolina."
