IF IT AIN'T RAININ', WE AIN'T PLAYIN'
• With projected rain and heavy winds this weekend from Hurricane Ian, Saturday's contest could be a wet one for the Chants and Eagles.
• However, both teams have become accustomed to playing each other in the rain, as two of the last three meetings have seen some sort of rainfall during the contest.
• In each of the last two games at Georgia Southern in 2019 and 2021, torrential rain poured from start to finish in Statesboro, Ga.
• In 2018's contest in Conway, S.C., no precipitation occurred, however, it was cold and slightly overcast.
CCU'S WINNING STREAKS
• Coastal will put a pair of winning streaks on the line this Saturday (Oct. 1) versus Georgia Southern.
• The Chants have won seven-consecutive games dating back to last season and three-straight Sun Belt Conference games.
