CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will serve up the start of the 2023 spring season with a doubleheader at The Citadel on Martin Luther King, Monday, Jan. 16, in Charleston, S.C.
The Chants and Bulldogs will play at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET.
Headlining the 2023 roster this season are Sun Belt All-Conference performers
Carlos Berna Ruiz and
Steve Mundt, who both picked up 2022 All-Sun Belt second-team honors in doubles play last spring, as well as fellow veteran returners
Neil O'Connor and
Guilherme Toresan.
Looking to carry over their strong play from the fall season are transfers
Lucas Wayenburg,
Maj Tomac, and
Ryuya Ata, while freshman
Rivers Cahill will look to make an impact in the CCU lineup in his first year on campus.
Coastal will continue its schedule at South Carolina State on Jan. 26 before returning home to host Francis Marion in an exhibition match on Feb. 1.
