CONWAY, S.C. – With the Sun Belt Conference office announcing the league members' cross-divisional opponents for football in 2023 on Thursday, Coastal Carolina football is excited to announce its full list of opponents for the 2023 season, which will kick off at the Rose Bowl versus UCLA on Sept. 2 in Pasadena, Calif.
Dates and times for each game will be announced later this spring.
Under first-year head coach
Tim Beck, the Chanticleers will play six games at home on the "Surf Turf" inside Brooks Stadium and six road games in 2023, with the six road contests coming in six different states spanning from California (UCLA) to New York (Army).
CCU's six home games will include non-conference contests versus Jacksonville State of Conference USA (Sept. 9) and Duquesne (Sept. 16), as well as Sun Belt Conference games versus Marshall (TBA), James Madison (TBA), Georgia State (TBA), and Texas State (TBA).
The Chants' six road bouts include UCLA (Sept. 2) and Army (Nov. 18) in non-conference play and conference contests at Appalachian State (TBA), Old Dominion (TBA), Georgia Southern (TBA), and Arkansas State (TBA).
Coastal Carolina football 2023 season tickets will go on sale on Feb. 13, 2023. Based on the previously announced Brooks Stadium seating adjustment, season ticket sales will be based on Chanticleer Athletic Foundation (CAF) priority points rankings. Priority points will be calculated based on donations through Jan. 27, 2023. More information will be distributed soon to all 2022 season ticket holders explaining the process for securing 2023 season tickets.
