Foley, Ala. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's cross country teams began their postseason campaign today at the Sun Belt Championships in Foley, Ala. 

The field for this weekend's meet featured 13 participating Sun Belt schools in the women's event and nine in the men's event. 

As a team, the women finished 4th in the 5k event and the men's team took eighth in the 8k, with average times of 18:14 and 27:46, respectively. 

The Lady Chants finished with two of the top three runners, similarly to their finish at the Upstate Invitational on Oct. 14th. Senior Molly Jones crossed the finish line first at 16:37 and redshirt junior Ellie Wolski took third at 17:02. 

Today's win marks the fourth top-place finish for Jones in her final year for the Chanticleers. Wolski also claimed her fourth top-three finish of the season. 

Junior Amilia Wise-Sweat finished 14th at 18:18, with freshmen Megan Dolan in 43rd at 19:16, Olivia Goeser in 64th at 19:56, Erin McQuitty in 76th at 20:14 and Mary Kathryn Huddleston in 87th at 21:05. 

On the men's side, junior Trey Kraimer led the Chants on the individual leaderboard, coming in 25th at 26:49. Today's finish marks Kraimer's second top-25 placement of the season and his first top finish among the CCU runners. 

Filling out the leaderboard for the Chants, senior Nehemiah Cionelo finished closely behind in 27th at 27:01. Freshman Adam Groves came in 38th at 27:26, Ethan Blackwelder in 48th at 28:45 and Jack Benoit in 51st at 28:50. 

Next up, the Chants will return to Spartanburg, S.C. for the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Nov. 10th.
