CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will battle the Furman Paladins on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Greenville, S.C. The opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET at the Timmons Arena and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Chanticleers knocked off South Carolina State 73-61 in Orangeburg, S.C. Coastal's Deaja Richardson led the Chants' offense with 29 points with freshman Alancia Ramsey recording a career-high 17 points and 16 rebounds for her first double-double as a Chant. Makaila Cange tallied her first double-double at Coastal with 11 points and 11 boards.
 
HISTORY BETWEEN COASTAL AND FURMAN
The game will be the 22nd meeting between the two teams on the hardwood with the Chanticleers trailing the all-time series 3-18. CCU claimed the last meeting 69-54 in December 2022 at the HTC Center.
 
ABOUT COASTAL
Coastal Carolina is averaging 56.0 points per game while shooting 30.8 percent from the field and 24.4 percent from three-point range. Defensively, Coastal has allowed 77.3 points per game, while opponents have a 46.3 shooting percentage from the floor and 35.1 percentage from behind the three-point arc. Coastal is paced by Richardson and Cange who average 18.7 and 8.7 points per game, respectively. Ramsey has averaged 8.0 points per contest and leads the team with 12.3 rebounds per game. Cange has grabbed 19 boards for a 6.3 rebounds per game average.

Furman is averaging 66.0 points per contest while shooting 39.7 percent from the floor and 32.0 percent from three-point range. As a team, the Paladins have won the rebound battle 124-118.
 
Jada Session and Tate Walters lead the Furman offense with 18.3 and 16.5 points per game, respectively, while Niveya Henley is averaging 9.0 points per contest. Sydney James is the team's leader in assists with 10, while Session is the top rebounder having grabbed 7.7 boards per game.
