Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Liberty Kickoff

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's track and field team begins its new indoor season tomorrow at the Liberty Kickoff in Lynchburg, Va. on Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
The Chants wrapped up their fall cross country schedule at the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Nov. 10 in Spartanburg, S.C. Senior Molly Jones and juniors Ellie Wolski and Amilia Wise-Sweat received All-Sun Belt Conference Honors, with Jones also receiving the 2023 Sun Belt Women's Runner of the Year.
CCU will be competing against 20 other participating schools, including conference foe James Madison and other notable programs such as Charlotte, Elon, Liberty, South Carolina State and Virginia.
Coastal will send five representatives this week to compete in the opening event of the women's pentathlon including sophomore Mia Lewis and freshmen Meg Goebel, Ebba Hedberg, Grace Howard and Brooke Fung-Chung.
The Liberty Kickoff from Lynchburg, Va. begins tomorrow, starting with the 60m heptathlon at 1:00 pm. Events continue Friday starting at 9:00 a.m. ET.
