Lynchburg, Va. - In a preview to the 2024 indoor track season, the Coastal Carolina women's track and field team began its new season today on the second day of the Liberty Kickoff in Lynchburg, Va.
The Chants featured five athletes in the first and second groups of the women's pentathlon. Freshmen Ebba Hedberg and Meg Goebel finished second and fourth, respectively, in Group A with final scores of 3681 and 3357. Freshmen Grace Howard, Brooke Fung Chung and Mia Lewis competed in Group B and finished with final scores of 3129, 2931 and 2748.
After the winter break, the Chants will return to action at the Gamecock Opener in Columbia, S.C. on Jan. 13.
