LYNCHBURG, Va. – Highlighted by a pair of third-place finishes by junior sprinter
Kayla Sweeney and a first-place finish by sophomore hurdler
Alexis Glasco, the Coastal Carolina women's indoor track & field team recorded nine top-10 finishes on day two of the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Saturday at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
Sweeney finished third overall in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 7.51 and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.17. Her time in the 200-meters was a new personal best and ranked tied for fourth overall on CCU's all-time indoor track & field performance list.
Glasco, who set a new school record with a time of 8.18 in the 60-meter hurdles semifinals on Friday, recorded a first-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals on Saturday with a time of 8.26.

Sydney Clemens (8.37) and
Amanda Kinloch (8.73), who finished tied for second and seventh overall in the 60-meter hurdles finals, scoring two more top-10 finishes for CCU.
Juniors
Brianna Tillman and
Amelia Canetto added to the list of top-10 finishes for the Chants on Saturday, as the duo crossed the finish line in seventh and eighth overall, respectively, in the 300-meters with times of 40.42 and 40.75. Tillman's time of 40.42 was the ninth-best mark in CCU history.
The Chants added another top-10 finish in the 1-mile run, as junior
Molly Jones raced to a seventh-place finish with a time of 4:52.14, and one more in the high jump event with
Camryn Lorick's sixth-place finish with a height of 1.63 meters.
CCU's Clemens (24.98), Kinloch (25.28), and Canetto (25.62) all posted personal best times in the 200-meters, while in the 500-meters, senior
Nikki Boon posted a time of 1:18.74, the seventh-best mark on CCU's all-time performance list.
Senior
Kadasia Evans turned in a mark of 1.58 meters to finish 14th overall in the women's high jump event, while two freshmen in
Claire Spiller (11.51m) and
Mia Lewis (11.11m) placed 11th and 18th overall in the women's triple jump event.
Running unattached for the second straight day on the men's side was senior
Albrey Gossett. He finished third overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.07 in the finals and 20th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.49.
Coastal will now set its sights on the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships set for Feb. 20-21 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
