Women’s Tennis to Play Three Road Matches in Four Days

Chanticleers will take on South Carolina, Clemson, and PC in a four-day span

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will have a very challenging schedule over the next few days, as the Chanticleers will play three road matches in four days with stops at South Carolina (Feb. 17), Clemson (Feb. 19), and Presbyterian College (Feb. 20).

Coastal is 0-2 on the season with losses to the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern.

South Carolina is 1-3 on the season, with the lone win coming to Northwestern at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in January.

The Clemson Tigers are 9-1 overall on the season, including sweeps over the College of Charleston, UNCG, Presbyterian, Wofford, Columbia, Georgia Southern, and App State.

Presbyterian College is 1-7 on the spring season entering the weekend and will play at Davidson on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Leading the way for the Chants so far this season is sophomore Anna Babayan and graduate transfer Tatum Burger, as both are 1-1 overall in singles play.

In doubles play, Babayan and partner Megan Hopton are 2-0 on the season, while Burger and teammate Lilie Steryous are also 2-0 as a team.
