Women’s Tennis to Host Rhode Island on Tuesday Morning

Chanticleers have won eight-straight matches
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will wrap up its current seven-match home stand on Tuesday, March 14, versus Rhode Island at 10:30 a.m. ET the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chanticleers are 8-4 overall and 1-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, having won eight consecutive matches after starting the season off at 0-4.
Coastal is coming off a 4-2 win over No. 68 Liberty on March 9 and then posted back-to-back wins over Georgia Southern and SCAD in a doubleheader on March 11.
A pair of Chants in Megan Hopton and Jesse Hollins have both won each of their last seven singles contests and lead the team with seven singles wins overall on the season.
In doubles play, the duo of Hopton and Anna Babayan are 10-2 overall at the No. 1 position and has won eight-straight matches, all coming in the Chants' current winning streak.
Rhode Island heads south with a 4-6 overall record and has lost each of its last four matches after posting back-to-back wins over Stonehill and Providence in February.
The Rams will take on Charleston Southern on Monday, March 13, face off with the Chants on Tuesday, play at the College of Charleston on Friday, March 17, and then end the week-long road trip at Davidson on Saturday, March 25.
