Chants will continue challenging spring schedule against a strong 18-team field
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will be back on the course when the Chanticleers travel just across the North Carolina border for the Seahawk Intercollegiate scheduled for March 26-27 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
UNCW will host the two-day event, which will consist of 54 holes. The field will play 36 holes on Sunday and the final 18 holes on Monday on the par-72, 7,031-yard course.
The 12th annual Seahawk Intercollegiate will field 18 teams and over 90 golfers. Joining host UNCW and the Chanticleers will be Appalachian State, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Clemson, Davidson, Duke, Francis Marion, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland, Nebraska, Stetson, TCU, Toledo, USC Upstate, and Wright State.
The last time the Chanticleers participated in the Seahawk Intercollegiate was back in 2013 when CCU finished fourth in the event, only eight strokes out of first place. Former Chanticleers Andrew Dorn and Sebastian Soderberg stood out for the Chants, with Dorn finishing second in the event and Soderberg placing fourth.
The Chanticleers lineup for the Seahawk Intercollegiate will be Trey Crenshaw, Seth Taylor, Tyler Gray, Owen Kim, and Connor Newton.
