Men's Golf to Complete Regular Season at Mountaineer Invite

Chants to face a challenging 13-team field
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will complete the 2022-23 regular season when they play in the Mountaineer Invitational on April 17-18 at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W. Va.
West Virginia University will host the two-day event, which will consist of 54 holes. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday on the par-72, 7,308-yard course.
The Mountaineers and Chanticleers will join 11 other teams at the invite, which includes Drexel, James Madison, Marshall, Maryland, Oklahoma State, St. John's, UT Martin, VCU, Western Carolina, William & Mary, and Xavier. The Cowboys from Oklahoma State enter the event as the highest-ranked team in the tournament field with a ranking of No. 21 in the latest Golfstat rankings.
Head coach Jacob Wilner has settled on six players to make the trip to West Virginia for the final spring outing. Seth Taylor, Trey Crenshaw, Garrett Cooper, Owen Kim, and Connor Newton will represent the Chants in team action. Alex van Wyk will also make the trip and will be competing as an individual.
