Men's Golf Ready for the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship

Chans won the title in 2018
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will make the trip to Madison, Miss., to play in the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship, scheduled for April 24-27 at the par-72, 7,190-yard Annandale Golf Club.
The Sun Belt Conference will host the four-day event which will consist of 54 holes. The 14-team field will play three rounds of stroke play, 18 holes per day for the first three days of the championship. The top four teams will then be seeded and will play a No. 1 verses No. 4 and No. 2 versus No. 3, 18-hole match-play on the final morning of the championship, with the two winners facing off in an 18-hole match-play championship in the afternoon.
The last Golfstat.com team rankings based on score versus par have Georgia Southern (-3.85) as the top-ranked team in the conference heading into the championship. The other teams as ranked are Southern Miss (0.03), Arkansas State (0.15), Troy (1.37), ULM (2.03), Texas State (3.76), James Madison (4.11), Appalachian State (4.14), Coastal Carolina (4.46), South Alabama (4.87), Louisiana (6.76), Old Dominion (6.81), Marshall (8.23), and Georgia State (8.55).
The Chants last won the event in 2018 and head coach Jacob Wilner has settled on six players to make the trip to Mississippi for the championship. Seth Taylor, Trey Crenshaw, Garrett Cooper, Owen Kim, Connor Newton, and Tyler Gray will be representing the Chanticleers.
"We are excited to travel to Mississippi for the Sun Belt Conference Championship," Wilner said. "Our job is to learn how to play the Annandale Golf Club and be ready to go Monday morning."
