Men's Golf to Play at the Stitch Intercollegiate

Challenging 16-team field awaits the Chanticleers in North Carolina
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will be back on the course for tournament play when the Chanticleers travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the Stitch Intercollegiate scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 7-8, at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
North Carolina State will host the two-day event, which will consist of 54 holes. The field will play 36 holes on Friday and the final 18 holes on Saturday on the par-72, 7,209-yard course.
Several teams ranked among the top-55 teams in the nation will be in the 16-team field, led by 19th-ranked Oklahoma State. Other ranked teams are Duke (No. 35), UNCG (No. 49), host NC State (No. 53), and Clemson (No. 55).
Other participating teams joining the Chants are Appalachian State, Boston College, Campbell, Davidson, Elon, High Point, James Madison, Maryland, North Carolina Central, and Toledo.
The Chanticleers last participated in the Stitch Intercollegiate back in 2021 when CCU finished eighth overall in the event after shooting a 13-under 851. Former Chanticleer Zach Taylor was the low-scorer for CCU with a 10-under 206, including an eight-under 63 in the final round, to finish tied for ninth. Current Chanticleer Seth Taylor picked up a top-20 finish after carding a five-under 211 to finish tied for 17th.
The Chanticleers lineup for the Seahawk Intercollegiate will be Taylor, Trey Crenshaw, Garrett Cooper, Connor Newton, and Owen Kim.
