Women’s Tennis' Weekend Schedule Altered Due to Weather

Chants will now play A-State and ULM in Arkansas
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will once again be on the road this weekend; however, their travel plans have changed and will see them head to Arkansas to do battle with both ULM and Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark., on April 7-8.
Originally scheduled to play at ULM in Monroe, La., on Thursday, April 6, and at Arkansas State on Friday, April 7, the forecast of inclement weather throughout the state of Louisiana this weekend has moved all matches to Arkansas State.
CCU will take on ULM on Friday at 11 a.m. ET and then turn around to face off with Arkansas State on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET.
The Chanticleers enter the weekend at 13-5 overall and 5-1 in Sun Belt play.
After having their winning streak snapped at 12 consecutive wins with a 4-3 loss at South Alabama last Saturday, April 1, the Chanticleers bounced back to score a 4-1 road win at Southern Miss on Sunday, April 2.
Three Chants lead the way with 10 singles wins apiece in Anna Babayan (10-6), Tatum Burger (10-6), and Jesse Hollins (10-2), while transfer Lilie Steryous has won each of her last five singles matches heading into play this weekend.
In doubles play, the team of Babayan and Megan Hopton had their winning streak snapped at South Alabama but still lead the team with 14 wins on court No. 1, while the duo of Hollins and Victoire De Samucewicz and the team of Burger and Steryous have both posted 10 wins overall on the season.
ULM enters the week of play at 3-14 overall and 1-5 in Sun Belt Conference play, with the lone win coming at Arkansas State on March 25.
The Warhawks are coming off back-to-back 7-0 road losses in the state of Virginia to James Madison (April 1) and No. 24 Old Dominion (April 2).
This weekend's host, Arkansas State, is 1-11 on the season and 0-6 in league play.
The Red Wolves are 0-4 at home this season and, like ULM, are coming off back-to-back shutout losses at No. 24 Old Dominion (April 1) and James Madison (April 2) last weekend in Virginia.
