CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will host Sun Belt Conference rival Appalachian State on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29-30, at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. ET, respectively, at the HTC Center on ESPN+.

The Chanticleers enter the match with a 7-7 overall and 2-0 Sun Belt record after picking up a pair of road wins over the Georgia State Panthers.
Coastal is led by outside hitter
Jasmine Rivest, who has 185 kills on the season and 214.5 points for a 5.11 points per set average. Rivest, a redshirt senior, is joined by freshman
Jalyn Stout, who has 132 kills in 11 matches for 142 points. Stout also has 137 assists and 111 digs to average a triple-double.
Lauren Malone and
Agata Lesiak have helped out the offense with 90 and 88 spikes, respectively.
On the defensive side, freshman libero
Sydney Lewis helps the offense get set up with 148 digs.
Dilara Unal and
Valentina Varani protect the front line with 54 and 45 blocks, respectively, while Lesiak (30) and Rivest (23) have double digit blocks on the year.
ABOUT APPALACHIAN STATE
The Mountaineers enter the week with a 9-4 overall and 0-2 SBC record after dropping a pair of contests to conference foe James Madison last weekend.
McCall Denny leads App State's offensive attack with 132 kills while Lulu Ambrose, Maya Winterhoff, and Delanie Grevengoed have added 121, 102, and 101 put downs, respectively. The Mountaineers' offense is aided by Katie Cruise (253) and Sophie Cain (219), who have combined for 472 of the team's 531 assists on the season.
Appalachian State's defense is led by Winterhoff (69) and Ava Leahy (44) as the only Mountaineers with over 40 blocks, while Lauren Pledger and Grevengoed have 39 and 32 blocks, respectively. Kenady Roper has 178 digs to lead App State while McCall has added 139 digs.
