CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will return to Conway, S.C. for a three-game home stand as the Chants will meet the Georgia Southern Eagles and Appalachian State Mountaineers on Thursday and Saturday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 3. The two games are slated to tip off at 6 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET, respectively. Coastal will honor their two seniors on Saturday prior to the start of the game.

The Chanticleers dropped a 71-68 heartbreaker to the ULM Warhawks last Saturday.
Deaja Richardson led three Chants in double digit scoring with 17 points, while
Makaila Cange and
Arin Freeman finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Alancia Ramsey tallied 11 boards, while adding eight points.
HISTORY BETWEEN COASTAL AND GEORGIA SOUTHERN
Coastal Carolina and the Eagles will be meeting for the 15th time. The Chants trail the all-time series at 8-6 with the two with Georgia Southern picking up a pair of wins last season. The series began in December of 1995.

Coastal Carolina and the Mountaineers will be meeting for the 23rd time. The Chants trail in the all-time series at 14-8 in a series that dates back to January 1995.
ABOUT COASTAL
Coastal Carolina enters the matchup 7-15 overall and 1-8 in Sun Belt play. The Chants are averaging 67.0 points per game while shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from three-point range. Defensively, Coastal has allowed 74.4 points per game, while opponents have a 41.3 shooting percentage from the floor and 33.1 percentage from behind the three-point arc. The Chanticleers have outrebounded their opponents 898-853.
Coastal is paced by Richardson and Freeman who average 15.1 and 12.6 points per game, respectively, while Cange (12.5) is averaging right just over 12 points per contest. Cange and Ramsey have averaged 8.0 and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Georgia Southern enters the week 13-8 overall and 3-6 in the league. Terren Ward and Simone James lead the Eagles in double digit scoring with 22.1 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. The Eagles' top rebounder is Ward, who is nearly averaging a double-double, with 9.7 boards per game.
ABOUT APPALACHIAN STATE
Appalachian State enters the week 10-10 overall and 4-5 in the league. As a team, the Mountaineers are averaging 70.5 points per contest while shooting 38.0 percent from the floor and 28.2 percent from three-point range. Defensively, App State has allowed 70.2 points per contest and its opponents to shoot 41.1 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from behind the arch.
Faith Alston leads the Mountaineers in double digit scoring with 18.6 points per game, while Emily Carver (14.2) and Chaé Harris (10.1) are the only other Mountaineers in double digits. Appalachian State's top rebounder is Rylan Moffitt with 8.4 boards per game.
