Chants end fall play in the White Sands Bahamas Invite

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will be back in action when it travels to Paradise Island, Bahamas, for the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women's Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 18-20 at the par-72, 6,415-yard Ocean Golf Club.

Texas A&M will serve as host of the invitational and will welcome 10 teams to the Bahamas, including CCU, Abilene Christian, Baylor, College of Charleston, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Purdue, and Xavier.

Texas A&M enters the event ranked ninth in the nation in the preseason poll released by Golfweek. The Aggies also have the best player in the field in reigning NCAA individual champion Adela Cernousek.

Georgia and Baylor enter the event also ranked with the Bulldogs ranked No. 28 in the preseason poll, while Baylor is No. 29.

Head coach Katie Quinney has set a lineup that includes Varatkarn Kunkaew, Sara Sarrion, Aoife Devaney, Ella Murray and Carolina Hortian. Isabella Spinazze will also play in the event as an individual.

The three-day, 54-hole event is scheduled to tee off with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. ET on Friday.
