Women’s Soccer Head to ULM for Midweek Contest

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team will head to Monroe, La., on Oct. 23 to take on ULM at 7 p.m. ET.

The Chants have a 6-4-6, 2-1-4 Sun Belt record on the season.
Freshman Eleanor Ashton has scored in five straight matches, scoring six goals over that time frame. Ashton is one of just three players in the NCAA to record a five-match scoring streak. James Madison's freshman forward Ginney Lackey leads the nation with an eight-match streak.
CCU is sitting on a nine-match scoring streak. The last time Coastal had a run this long was when the Chants scored in 10 consecutive matches from September 16 to November 4 in 2016.
Transfer junior Madison Micheletti recorded her first assist in Teal and Bronze last time out versus Marshall.
Coastal has a 2-0-0 record in one-goal matches.
The Chants have a perfect 4-0-0 record when leading at half time and are yet to lose a match while scoring first, posting a 6-0-4 record.

Last Time Out

The Chants defeated the Marshall Thundering Herd, 1-0.
Ashton netted her eighth goal of the season off an assist from Micheletti in the 23rd minute to give Coastal a 1-0 lead.
Coastal was outshot 20-6 and 5-2 in corner kicks in the matchup.
Of the Thundering Herds 20 shots just three forced saves out of Coastal keeper Aris Lamanna.
Tamlyn Parkes and Ashton led the team with two shots apiece.

Scouting the Opponent

ULM has an 8-6-2, 2-3-2 Sun Belt record on the season to date.
The Warhawks have picked up Sun Belt wins over Arkansas State and Troy but are currently looking to snap a two-match losing streak after falling to Georgia State and Texas State.
ULM kicked off the season on a six-match win streak, featuring five shutouts.
Goalkeeper Jennifer Handy has recorded 38 saves on the year and places second in the Sun Belt with a .357 shutouts per game average.
Skylar Blaise tops the team with 15 points after recording six goals and three assists this season.

Last time out, CCU downed the Warhawks 1-0 when Julia Ziegenfuss netted the game-winner off an assist from Cami Wiles.
