Chants look to build on solid fall performances

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will be back in action when it travels to Virginia Beach, Va., for the Evie Odom Invitational scheduled for Oct. 4-6 at the par-70, 5,824-yard Princess Anne Country Club.

Sun Belt Conference member Old Dominion will host 13 teams in the event. Joining the host team and CCU will be Chattanooga, College of Charleston, Furman, James Madison, Miami (Fla.), North Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State, Princeton, Richmond, Sacramento State, and Western Kentucky.

The Chants will look to build on their solid fall performances where they finished eighth at the Cardinal Cup and are coming off a third-place finish at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational.

CCU finished tied for eighth at the 2023 Evie Odom Invitational with former All-Sun Belt performer Hannah Karg leading CCU with a tie for 15th after shooting a four-over 214.

Head coach Katie Quinney has set a lineup that includes Varatkarn Kunkaew, Sara Sarrion, Aoife Devaney, Ella Murray and Carolina Hortian.

The three-day, 54-hole event is scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday with the Chanticleers' tee time set for 9:20 a.m. ET.
