CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina cross country teams will compete in the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, Ala. The men's 8K race will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET and the women's 5k will start at 10:15 a.m. ET. The action will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Chants last competed at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. The men finished 17th as
Adam Groves led the way with a time of 25:19.8.

Trey Kraimer (26:17.2),
Sterling Sellier (26:25.1),
Garrett Ricardo (26:30.1),
Ethan Blackwelder (26:32.7) rounded out the lineup for the Chants. On the women's side, Jones led the way as her 20:49.6 time for 6K placed her seventh overall and led CCU to an 11th-place finish. The grad student from Marlow, England, was joined in the scoring lineup by
Addison Laughlin (21:53.9),
Amilia Wise-Sweat (22:46.0),
Erin McQuitty (23:06.8),
Jenna Lang (23:18.8),
Olivia Goeser (23:23.9), and
Bethany Simpson (23:39.2).
In last year's Sun Belt Championship, the women finished 4th in the 5k event and the men's team took eighth in the 8k, with average times of 18:14 and 27:46, respectively.
Molly Jones won the race on the women's side with a time of 16:37 while Kraimer led the Chanticleer men, coming in 25th at 26:49.
