The highly-recruited three-star athlete, picked the Chanticleers over Arizona State, Mississippi State, Nevada, Illinois-Chicago, Ohio, Bradley Louisiana Tech, Toledo, Milwaukee, Detroit, Bryant, Valparaiso, and Arkansas State.

Brown played travel ball with Kevon Looney Power 5 where he averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists while averaging 28 minutes per game in the 3ssb games.

Coach Gray on Brown: "Devin is a guy that is going to play with the COASTAL EDGE! I really like his versatility on both ends of the court. He can create for himself and others but then guard just about every position on the defensive side. Of all his great qualities, the ones that stood out the most during the recruiting process were Devin's winning pedigree and that he COMPETES! Chant fans, please help me in welcoming Devin and his family to The Coast!"
